  1. Michael Keaton (Reportedly) Joins Spider-Man: Homecoming

According to Deadline, Michael Keaton reportedly has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming as the Vulture! Keaton was in talks for the role back in April until talks fell through, but Marvel has reportedly approached him again, and a deal has been closed. If this is true, he will join Tom Holland (Peter Parker aka Spider-Man) Marisa Tomei (Aunt May) Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark aka Iron Man) Zendaya, Toni Revolori, and Laura Harrier. Take both the Vulture rumor and that Michael Keaton has joined the cast with a pinch of salt, until we get an official confirmation.

  • The Inhuman’s name who is the cause for conflict is Ulysses. He has the power to see the future with incredible accuracy. He is also the Inhuman flying on the cover of issue two with Iron Man.
  • The story will start in the middle of a huge invasion. The attack causes the heroes of the Marvel universe to band together to stop them, and will be the climactic event that shapes the rest of the storyline.
  • Some characters will change sides over the course of the series.
  • The covers of the Civil War: Choosing Sides series doesn’t confirm who’s on who’s team.
  • Not every series will be involved or tie in, unlike the original Civil War storyline.
  • Something big and controversial will be happening in each issue, especially issue three (which features the Hulk.)
  • Issue four will be a turning point on who some people side with.

Marvel Boycott of Atlanta

Marvel Boycott

Disney, and by extension Marvel, says that they will boycott filming in Georgia if an anti-gay law is passed within the state. Disney has filmed many of their previous Marvel films there, and has at least 3 films scheduled to be filmed there. Disney joins the long list of companies threatening to boycott, including Coca-Cola, Intel, Apple, Microsoft, Delta, and countless others.

Marvel has released their first teaser trailer for Luke Cage, however it is only viewable if you have a netflix account. If you do, click here to view it. The teaser will automatically start after the end credits of the last episode of Daredevil season 2. The teaser shows people trying to shoot Luke Cage, only for the bullets to bounce right off of him. It ends with the Luke Cage logo being shown, with Nas’ “Made You Look” playing over it. Luke Cage will premiere September 30th on Netflix.

Han Solo Gets His Own Comic Book

Written by Marjorie Liu and drawn by Mark Brook, Han Solo #1 will be released in June. Starring the galaxy’s greatest smuggler and his furry sidekick, the book will go back to the time right after Episode IV and shows Han trying to go back to the way he was before he met Luke and Leia.
